Olla Balls

So we took a ride out to the Las Milipitas De Cottonwood farm today, for an Olla Ball test update. It was 108 degrees outside, and humid. When we arrived, Chris Lowen, manager of the farm, greeted us with a huge grin. We knew he had something exciting to tell us. He told us that the new data was extremely impressive. He said the 25 cherry tomato plants on Olla Balls produced 50% more tomatoes, than the 25 cherry tomato plants on drip. Now here is the really impressive part. The 25 Olla Ball plants used one gallon of water per day for all of them. The 25 plants on drip used 9 gallons of water a day, to keep them alive! Olla Balls used 89% less water! The latest pictures were after the harvest this morning. The others were when first planted.
